Grades 1–4: the 2+1+1 Recommended Mix
For children entering the system, the priority is a solid English base, with math building from the grade 2 and 3 gifted-program selection. Picture-book design is the first step in expression, Miro and Picasso classes are creativity in its rawest form, and VEX IQ intro is a first taste of teamwork and leadership. We do not rush a direction at this age; we want all five seeds planted.
