The Management & Technology Summer Institute (M&TSI) is run by the University of Pennsylvania’s Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology, with courses linking Penn Engineering and The Wharton School to show how technology and management fit together. It is a three-week residential program for rising seniors on Penn’s Philadelphia campus; the 2027 session runs July 12 to July 30. Students who complete it earn 1 Penn college credit.
M&TSI admits 75 students a year and requires an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher and two teacher recommendations; it does not publish applicant numbers or an admission rate. It is a paid program: the fee is $12,000 for 2027 and was $9,000 for 2026, so check the official site for the latest figure, and need-based scholarships cover only a select number of participants. International students are accepted, and 2027 application dates have not been announced.
The program states that M&TSI has no relationship with Penn’s undergraduate admissions and does not guarantee acceptance to the M&T undergraduate program. EDUBUS recommends planning for M&TSI as a selective paid program: it suits students already interested in where engineering meets business, offering three weeks of college coursework and credit.
