According to a Saddleback College event page, the history departments of Irvine Valley College and Saddleback College will hold an open house for future transfer students on Wednesday, October 28. Students will attend a UC Irvine history class, join a campus tour, and take part in a lunch information session with UC Irvine faculty and staff. Registration for the class and lunch and for the bus closes October 21. The two history departments organize the event with UC Irvine faculty and staff, and this is its fifth year.

What to Do Now About the UC Irvine Transfer Open House

Register by October 21. The class and lunch and the bus use two separate registration forms, each closing October 21; questions go to the Saddleback College History Department.

Plan the open house alongside the application timeline. The UC fall 2027 transfer application filing period runs from October 1 to November 30. Transfer applicants answer one required personal insight question and three of seven additional questions, each limited to 350 words. The Saddleback College Transfer Center hosts a virtual personal insight question workshop for transfer applicants, led by a UCLA representative, at 4:00 p.m. on October 22, and UC and CSU application open labs run October 26–30 and November 16–19 in GW 271, with some sessions online.

Check the transfer requirements for the target major first. Major preparation and admission data for UC Irvine are in Transferring to UC Irvine, and transfer data for the two colleges are in the Irvine Valley College transfer guide and the Saddleback College transfer guide. EDUBUS one-on-one transfer planning is described on Community College to UC.
