Wesleyan University’s admission pages state that the Early Decision I application and financial aid application are both due November 15, with decisions in mid-December, and that the $65 application fee is waived for all applicants who apply for financial aid. Irvine 12th graders with Wesleyan as their first choice have four weeks to prepare.

Who Is Affected by the Wesleyan Early Decision Deadline

High school seniors applying to Wesleyan University through the Common Application or the Coalition Application via SCOIR. The dates for each round are:

Round Application deadline Financial aid deadline Decision
Early Decision I November 15 November 15 Mid-December
Early Decision II January 1, 2027 January 1 Mid-February
Regular Decision January 1, 2027 January 15 Late March

Wesleyan states that receiving the fee waiver does not disadvantage an applicant in any way.

What to Do Now About the Wesleyan Early Decision Deadline

Assemble the required materials. These include Wesleyan’s member-specific questions on the Common Application or Coalition Application, the secondary school report and transcript (including courses in progress) from the counselor, a counselor recommendation, two academic teacher evaluations, and a midyear grade report. Wesleyan encourages one evaluation from a humanities, social sciences, or foreign language teacher and one from a math or science teacher. The Early Decision agreement can be completed through the Common Application.

Decide on test scores and arts materials. Wesleyan does not require most students to submit SAT or ACT scores and lets students decide whether their scores reflect their ability; supplemental materials in music, theater, visual arts, film, and dance go through SlideRoom.

Estimate financial aid first. Wesleyan states that it meets 100% of demonstrated need, without loans, for eligible students; MyinTuition gives a quick estimate and the Net Price Calculator a detailed one. The method is covered in Check Net Price Before Applying Early Decision.

Early rounds and college lists are covered by the EDUBUS college admissions planning service.
