The Saddleback College Transfer Center in Mission Viejo, Orange County, has scheduled its Fall 2026 Transfer University Fair for Wednesday, October 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This week it is also running workshops on the fall 2027 transfer applications for the University of California (UC) and the California State University (CSU). Saddleback College is part of the South Orange County Community College District, close to Irvine, and is one of the colleges Irvine families can compare when considering the path of starting at a community college and then transferring to UC.

What to Do Now About the Saddleback College transfer fair
Stay for the panel after the fair. The UC transfer admissions panel begins half an hour after the fair ends, which makes it a good chance to confirm major preparation requirements for target campuses in one visit.
Attend the PIQ workshop before drafting. UC transfer applicants answer Personal Insight Questions, and the October 6 UCLA workshop is aimed at transfer applicants; understanding what each question looks for before writing saves time compared with revising afterward.
Plan backward from November 30. Eight weeks remain before the deadline. A reasonable plan is to finish the workshops and start the application in October, leaving November for revising the Personal Insight Questions.
Saddleback College transfer data and major pathways are covered in the Saddleback College transfer guide; for one-on-one transfer planning, see Community College to UC Transfer.
